Research Interests

I'm a member of the Information Retrieval Group of Prof. Keith van Rijsbergen, here in the Department of Computing Science, at the University of Glasgow. My research topics are:

• Information Retrieval on the Web ( link analysis, combination of link and content analyses, fusion of results, combination of evidence, theoretical models for the Web )

• Probabilistic Frameworks for IR (parameter-free IR models, length normalisation, weighting scheme / model selection)

• Semantic Web & e-Commerce applications

• Multilingual Information Retrieval

• Data Mining & Knowledge Discovery applications

• Formal Information Retrieval

• Models Information Visualisation in the Web Context
