WishList for Terrier. Please follow a simple format of telling who you are (optional) and what you want -
1) Srikant - Google Type Results for Terrier Desktop
Craig - what do you mean by Google type results??? Are you referring to a web page, or to the actual metadata? What metadata do you think is important?
2) Srikant - Fallback Architecture as in if a file format is unrecognized, it should be default parsed as text. If this fails, then atleast the filename should be noted. In fact, filenames are to be indexed and given boosted weights
Craig - this could be done by a document score modifier. You'd need to create some kind of index.
3) Srikant - Better Help file telling users of how to go about common tasks (like say, changing file associations or where to find terrier.properties)
Craig - file associations in Windows are handled by Windows. Is this the OS you have problem with? Craig - patches to documentation are welcome
